Phyllanthus acidus, aka gooseberry in Guyana is known by many other names: the Otaheite gooseberry, Malay gooseberry, Tahitian gooseberry, country gooseberry, star gooseberry, starberry, West India gooseberry, or simply sour cherry (Trinidad and Tobago).
