Lantana Camara is known as Sweet-sage or Wild Sage in Guyana.
Sweet Sage is native to the Caribbean, Central and South America. In other parts of the world it is cultivated indoors. If left to it's own devices in these areas it becomes an unwelcomed invasive weed. In Australia it is known for inhibiting the growth and propagation of native species.

The bright orange flowers bring cheer on even the cloudy days. We've also added yellow and pink varieties.
The birders know the hummingbirds and others will be nearby feasting.
Photographers love the contrast of the flowers and the bright green leaves.
The leaves make a nice tea. We like to brew it with lemongrass.
